So, you're interested in becoming an ambassador for Newcastle? Good for you! It's people like you that make this city awesome.
What we're looking for is pretty simple - people to donate their time and knowledge to help visitors that just don't know any better (but are trying hard to rectify that situation!).
This isn't a one-way street though, far from it. By becoming a Just Ask A Local.com.au Tourism Volunteer, you'll get experience in public speaking (ever tried doing this, getting a bit nervous and imagining people naked? Here's you're shot). You'll meet people - loads of people! From all over the place, people that are hungry for information and will hang on your every word as you impress them with the depth of your local knowledge. And you get to sleep better at night knowing you've enriched the experiences of hundreds of others.
The best part is, you don't need any qualifications to volunteer - all you need is to know a bit about your hometown. Now how hard is that?
