We put them in front of a camera and they went nuts telling us what floats their boat about the Gold Coast - this wasn't paid, it's not scripted, its just real people telling you what they dig about their home town.
Pro surfer Bede Durbidge gives you the low down on the best breaks, Television Identity Shelley Craft gets excited talking about her favourite haunts for brekky, lunch and dinner, and swim coach supreme Dennis Cottrell tells you why he reckons the Gold Coast is the breeding ground of champions.

Hi I'm Nathan Corbett five times world kick boxing champion and I live here on the Gold Coast.
After a morning training session I like to come down here to Broadbeach relax have a cup of coffee at the only place I enjoy 'Madisons'. Madisons is part of the Oasis shopping Centre in Broadbeach where there is many a shopping outlet, Woolworths, the Sofitel Hotel next store and many different restaurants in Broadbeach. Not far from here is Pacific Fair if you're a bit of a shop a holic and we've got the Casino if your a gambler or you can over there and watch one of the shows they have on there as they are quite popular but me myself I just like to come down to Broadbeach and relax sometimes you might get a bit of a blues band going on in the back ground its quite a popular place for people to come down and relax and just be themselves.
Well its not very often I get to go out and hit the town in Surfers Paradise and party up a little when I get the time there's only one place I go and that's Melba's. Melba's on the park its been established for 25 years in Surfers popular place to go they've got lounge bar, restaurant, they've got a nightclub upstairs. Security is A class. You'll feel safe have a great time and pick up the love of your life.
