Dr Mark Byrne, BMED, DipEMERGMED, FACRRM, an accomplished and highly trained Emergency Doctor, leads the team at Gold Coast Accident & Medical Clinic.
In his previous position as Director of Emergency Services, Dr Byrne spent years at the forefront caring for patients who had to endure long waiting times in the hospital emergency department.

As a result of this experience, Dr Byrne recognised a real need for a medical clinic that was half way between a patient's local GP and a hospital emergency department that could provide rapid care - without long waiting times.

Wanting to provide this unique form of medical care in a position that was central to the Gold Coast, Dr Byrne chose Benowa as the location for his first clinic. All the doctors and nurses at GCAM are highly experienced and have a special interest in accident and emergency care - ensuring patients receive the quality of care they deserve.

Dr Byrne lives locally, is married with 3 beautiful children and believes strongly in community participation.
